An invention named Hilion claims to fit all cars and cut gas use. An engineer test showed mileage gains and quick starting with smoother motors. Milwaukee advertiser E Oliver offers a free device and $100 weekly for regional agents to promote the device locally.
Detroit motored visitors and Indiana residents crowded Indiana with callers and shoppers yesterday and today. Notables included Plotzer family guests on Fifth street and Cleveland’s Williams family visiting friends, Blairsville and Greensburg residents calling on county offices, and Philadelphians and Pittsburgh visitors mingling with locals at homes, shops, and the Moore Hotel.
The Bermuda Rum treaty restricts American Coast Guard ships to U S territorial waters. After two US patrol vessels briefly entered St Georges Bermuda, Britain protested. State Department cited bad weather and a medically ill sailor as mitigation, and pledged no snooping cruises in future.
The article notes Senator Norris sponsored a treasury plan directing a 400 million surplus to retirement of debt. The order follows criticism of John D Pennington of Pittsburgh who issued a questionnaire on jurors character wealth religion and political affiliations. Doran said the bureau must not pry into private beliefs and warned against tampering with jurors.
Senate fights over wartime tax repeal and debt retirement outline oppose lines. Democrats press for broader corporate relief and repeal of amusements tax while Republicans push lower corporate rates and kept club dues tax. Treasury warns of a possible deficit without careful appropriations.

The Court of Honor in Rossiter outlined the purpose of the Council Jam Boree to be held at Marion Center Community Park on June 8 and 9 and urged at least one patrol entry from Rossiter troops. The next regular Court of Honor for Rossiter will be the last until fall. Leaders aim to make next year the biggest in Scouting for Rossiter boys and girls.

He recounts wartime command of 70,000 White Army troops and says he has eaten garbage for two months while his wife and three children face hunger.
