Two U S Army Sergeants Rescued From Guerrilla Captivity
Two young U S Army sergeants, Sgt. Francis Quinn of Niagara Falls New York and Sgt. George E Groom of St Joseph Missouri, arrived in Saigon after 22 days as captives of Communist guerrillas. In Indianapolis area Lawrence, a five year old boy died after repeated punishment for not eating. Foster parents Mr and Mrs George Marriott are charged with involuntary manslaughter. The boy Larry suffered six punishments Sunday and Monday by slapping, shaking, paddling and choking. Twin Garry, 14 months older, was unharmed. Mother Doris Leona Marriott, 42, treated for a nervous condition.
