In Wetumpka Alabama on May 1 two white men Howard Jr John C 30 and Oliver Jack 20 both of Elmore County were charged with raping two Black women Annie Grayson and Malinda Jackson and robbing their husbands. They waived preliminary hearing and were held to a grand jury without bond.
