Washington May 1 The House Invalid Pensions Committee recommended increases in Civil War pensions totaling 12 million dollars a year. The Holy Name Society, a Catholic men’s group, organized to promote devotion to Jesus Christ and respect for civil and religious authority. A county rally invites Catholic men and interested non Catholics to join in advancing this movement for God and country.

Mrs Wolfe age 72, daughter of late Squire Wilse Meyers and Sara Meyers, lived in Wilmore. Husband Joseph Wolfe died May 4, 1917. Survived by children Emmi Dunmeyer, William Wolfe, Eda Lepoli, O J Wolfe, Anna Brown, Wallace Wolfe, Sara Rhodes, Raymond Wolfe, Alduretta Wolfe, Joseph Wolfe. about 30 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Solemn high mass at St John’s Catholic Church, burial in church cemetery. service time to be announced tomorrow.
Bolivar April 2020 two defendants Joh i Yaped and Clarence Luke were discharged for lack of evidence after State Trooper John Brieemever reported copper wire recovered from a home.
