Bible not literal say Yale scholar in Columbus

Dr Charlten Reynolds Brown of Yale University told a Columbus audience that the Bible is a plant and beautiful poem and should not be judged by literal truth. He said spiritual truth is evident and some passages must be read to separate local and essential lessons from universal ones. He urged study and experience to test the Bible rather than ecclesiastical dogma.
