Probe begins into Kocher Coal shaft disaster
Officials launched a joint inquiry in Kocher Mine, 5000 feet in, after the March 1 flood killed ten miners and left one escapee. Investigators from state deep mine safety, federal MESA, and the company will piece together how the water broke through and why, to prevent a similar tragedy.
