Two NYA workers die in road accident at Indiana Hill

Two young NYA workers Tony Dantonio of Yatesboro and Bruce Owen Salter of Eric died when their truck missed a curve at the bottom of Indiana Hill and plunged down a 50-foot embankment. The teens, returning from Harrisburg to the NYA training center in New Castle, were hauling blankets clothing and sugar. The 10-ton truck rolled sidelong across railroad tracks, tore its top off, and wrecked the area scattering its cargo. The tragedy occurred near Kittanning on March 3.
