Wolter Charged in Ruth Wheeler Murder Case

Wolter was arraigned before Judge Mulqueen in general sessions on murder charges tied to Ruth Wheeler. A coroner's jury found he killed the 15 year old girl and ordered him held for the grand jury. Katia Muller, his housemate, attended the hearing as Walter sat with his counsel Wallace D. Scott and offered no statement.

Pennsylvania railroad lines grant six percent wage raise

A union station statement from S C Long fixes a six percent wage increase to Pennysys lines east and west, benefitting about 40 000 men on these lines and about 200 000 workers overall. MINES CLOSE TONIGHT IN PITTSBURG DISTRICT

Mines in the Pittsburg district will suspend operation tonight for a few weeks amid ongoing wage talks.
