Rinn and Mrs. Jennie Sexton from Indiana along with numerous relatives and guests from Scranton Worcester Pittsburgh Buffalo East Aurora Freeport and Indiana gathered for a guest occasion. Mrs Erdle formerly Mary Ernest mother of Mrs Charles W Carnahan hosted and introduced relatives in North Sixth Street, noting her connection to the Carnahan family.

Brushvalley P T A Meeting Opens With Health Program

Some 150 persons attended the Brushvalley High School meeting of the P T A. The gathering opened with America and a prayer by Rev. Carlisle. A health program featured recitations songs and dialogues by grade school children under Miss Brink and Miss Evans. George Millar and Dr. Rink spoke on ventilation exercise and pupil comfort. Room No 2 won a book for best parental representation as a contest proceeds. Next meeting set for the third Thursday in April.

Rob Salesman of Diamonds Held Up in Broad Daylight

In Chicago on March 28 three bandits robbed jewelry salesman Harry Peck of Baltimore of two wallets holding diamonds valued at 100000 dollars. They forced him into a building lobby, then vanished into passing crowds. Peck notified police and viewed diamond thief photos at the Bureau of Identification. E. J. Wells of Plumville was said to be visiting Indiana this morning.

Mother and babe perish in Rochester fire

A week old infant and mother trapped in a Rochester fire perished as four families were driven from their homes and six buildings damaged in an eight figure loss. Fire swept the block from Central Fruit Market to adjacent stores with Morris Grossman’s properties sustaining major damage. Fireman injured by a collapsing stairway, others treated for smoke.
