Bridge Collapse Traps Coal Truck In Lewisburg
LEWISBURG March 28 A small bridge gave way under a large trailer carrying 11 tons of coal plunging the truck about 20 feet to the Reading railroad tracks below and suspending attic for hours. The driver suffered minor lacerations while recovery crews extracted the wrecked truck and span from the right of way. State Policeman William E Heiss said the driver and owner were being questioned for allegedly violating gross weight limits and precaution signs at the bridge.
