Resident Hit By Automobile On Cherryhill Township Road
A Cherryhill Township resident, Isaac Mentnh, 64, was killed Thursday afternoon about 6 15 near his home on the Benjamin Franklin highway five miles east of Indiana. Dr M M Davis of Indiana operated eastbound when the accident occurred as Mentnh started to cross the road after chores. Pealer and Ray arrived soon after and assisted in medical care. witnesses noted Mentnh may have been hard of hearing and did not hear a horn. The crash left tire marks at the left edge of the highway near a mailbox and telephone pole. Continued on page two.

Three men arrested in January for violating the Harrison anti narcotic act over the alleged theft of 10 500 narcotic tablets from a Fairmont West Virginia hospital were sentenced in Erie federal court. Robert Fockler received six months in jail Wagoner Shoemaker was ordered to serve one year and one day Clair Lohr earned three months and all three pleaded guilty. Robert Hagan was acquitted.
