Three Autoists Burned to Death Near West Chester
A woman and two men were killed when their car collided with another three miles west of West Chester Pennsylvania. One victim was tentatively identified as Leon Bryan of Philadelphia. The other two victims were not yet identified. The car overturned and burned after the crash. The other driver, Charles H. Conover of Atglen, was only slightly injured.

KITTANNING March 23 Pretty 18 year old Norma Sowers has given three stories of her self inflicted drowning attempt in the Allegheny river beneath the new bridge. She says she walked to the bank swam to the pier then jumped from the railing and fell into icy waters. She mentions intending her clothing to be worn by a younger sister and says she had reasons for acting. Hospital staff and police report no internal injuries and she plans to leave soon. She thanks patrol officers who pulled her from the water and says she would jump again only when it is warmer. A Bible rests near her bed as X Rays reveal no injuries.
