Coal output in Altoona district declines in March

The Altoona Mirror reports sharp coal production declines in the Central Pennsylvania bituminous district as March ends.weekend loadings to March 14 were 13 443 cars vs 14 183 the prior week. two weeks total 27 574 cars vs 82 161 for February. Operators forecast April as the lowest production month due to seasonal and contract losses.
