Foreman Dies Following Fight at Tyrone Mill
In Altoona on March 22 a postmortem tied the death of J. George Black, 67, foreman at Tyrone paper mills, to a fight with Samuel Thompson, 24, Spruce Creek. Scouts raise funds in Indiana County drive totals
More than a third of the two jewel budget of the Boy Scouts of Indiana County was pledged last evening. Four teams reported progress at Mr. Sheehe’s solicitation drive for the Indiana Borough drive. Team No 1 led by Captain Sinis credited 34 subscriptions for 6, Team No 2 gathered 58 subscriptions for 645, Team No 3 added 62 subscriptions for 604, and Team No 4 reported 34 subscriptions for 387. Overall the four teams secured 178 subscriptions and Mr Sheehe’s solicitors added 914 dollars, bringing his total to 3220 from team efforts, with Blairsville reporting up to noon a total of 79960 raised.
