He was a veteran of the Civil War, serving in Company K, West Regiment, Kansas Volunteer Infantry. He leaves two sisters and one brother. Mr. Mary Getty and Mr. John McCune, of Indiana and Mrs. Annie McKee, of Avonmore. Funeral services will be held at the Getty home Thursday afternoon at 1:16 o'clock and interment will be made in Blairsville cemetery.
