Kidnap Victim Rescued After Abduction in Maryland Swamp
Charles W. Brown, 31, rescued from Holly Grove Swamp where abductors bound him to a tree with chains overnight. Farmhand Edward Taylor freed him with a hammer and chisel. Brown says four masked men abducted him last Tuesday at Evergreen Woods. He identified a Worcester County citizen among the assailants. Brown was bound in a cellar before being moved to the swamp. Police suspect a local enemy of Brown orchestrated the plot.
