A long marriage milestone recalls the life of Indiana resident Mr. Bryan a former Civil War soldier born January 1838 in White township who served with Company I 67th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry and was captured at Winchester sent to Libby and Belle Isle paroled then walked home to rejoin his unit discharged at Harrisburg after the war. He married Mary E. Dumm in 1866 and pursued stock buying then a 29 year career in commission business while active in politics church and veterans groups.
Attendees recalled pleasant memories as stories and songs were shared. Little girls performed looming memories while refreshments were served before farewells. The event featured readers and musicians, with Messrs McCoy and Messi noted among performers.
