Kennedy Signs Today Bill Safeguards Welfare Funds

President Kennedy signed a bill to strengthen welfare and pension fund safeguards in a White House ceremony attended by Vice President Johnson and Labor Secretary Galdberg. The act expands enforcement under the 1958 Disclosure Act, requires bonding, allows investigations and injunctions, and imposes criminal penalties for bribes, false reports, or embezzlement with penalties up to five years and $10,000 fines.

Nab Kidnap Slayer on Nevada Road
