In Erie on March 20 federal court imposed sentences on violators. Chester A Hall and William J Powers got two years in Atlanta penitentiary and four months in Erie county jail after pleading guilty to possessing narcotics. Russell Meyer 18 of Cincinnati received two years in the Chillicothe Federal Reformatory for transporting a stolen auto from Ohio to Pennsylvania. Meyer was arrested near New Castle Feb 13 with a girl and three youths. the girl and three boys were placed on probation. William Nevins, a railway mail clerk, pleaded guilty to tampering with the mails and received five months in Cambria county jail for opening two letters and taking slightly more than $5 on his run between Tyrone and Altoona.
