Matthew Ray left this morning for Johnstown due to his uncle Thomas Dick’s death. W. W. E. Brown and Malcolm Hilty of Saltsburg were among out of town visitors in Indiana yesterday. Charles Margiotto of Punxsutawney spent a few hours in Indiana on legal business. James Ralston of Cherryhill township passed through yesterday returning from Erie where he served as grand juror, reporting a pleasant time. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Vaughn of Mifflin are weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Bartlebaugh.

A six month old son of Mr and Mrs David Nicholson of First and Water streets died this morning from pneumonia. Funeral arrangements had not been made at the time of writing.
Peoria on Franklin Way is named as a city along the proposed Benjamin Franklin highway route. John H Williamson spoke at a meeting about route formation. George Alfs was named president and O B Eddy secretary of the state organization. Counties will be asked to send delegates for future meetings. The designation is expected to bring many tourists to Peoria.
Horace Liverknight and wife faced sharp criticism for a private gathering where he discussed frank sex matters before children. He urged absolute frankness, arguing avoidance teaches children to seek information from unsuitable sources. Critics called the act silly wrong dangerous and said it harms the young.
