Volunteer firefighters answered a general alarm at the Kentucky Fried Chicken on South Seventh Street. Some sand in a vent caught ice, minor damage reported, crew on scene about thirty minutes. Police car damage estimated at 175 dollars.

Police Foil Burglary Try Arrest Two In White Township
Police halted a burglary at Pearce’s Auto Body Shop and arrested Fred Allen Dilts 21 of Josephine for burglary resisting arrest and carrying a concealed weapon. The State Transportation Department urged mail customers to send 1977 license plate applications this week to avoid missing the March 31 deadline. PennDOT noted two day processing for mailed apps, but delivery times may prevent plates arriving in time.
