Philadelphia March 18 Governor George H Earle urged a restructured economy at the Friendly Sons of St Patrick dinner, arguing wealth concentration disrupts finance and government. He praised Roosevelt, warned against a dangerous Germany, and urged a more equitable distribution of world goods and services.

Hearing before Justice Hugh A. Jackson in Salis bury district charged Johnston with breaking and larceny after county detective Harry E. Koozer arrested him in Conemaugh Township. The alleged break in at Penn United Oil Station in Saltsbury Extension yielded tobacco cigarettes and candy valued at 850, with part of the loot recovered.
