Washington March 18 Two air mail pilots George Myers and Earl Ward flew the Chicago to New York route at an average 158.04 miles per hour setting a new air mail record. They completed the 726 mile distance in 4 hours and 86 minutes of actual flight time as announced by the Post Office Department.
