East Liverpool Ohio police say Rob erto L McBane a 10 year veteran faces burglary charges after confessing to four years of looting local firms using a police cruiser. A chain of admissions tied to a cabin theft and a stolen shotgun linked other suspects including Dallas Bishop and George Bontemp.
In Houston Texas workers at the National Bank of Commerce are packing and mailing the Tennessee Gas Transmission Co annual report to about 60 000 stockholders. The crew of nine is performing in three days a task that previously took 15 to 18 workers up to a week.

A Chevy Chase man, Fred Johnson, 38, Indiana RD 3, was acquitted by an Indiana County criminal court jury of larceny charges tied to the Nov. 10 theft of between 400 and 500 pounds of copper wire from Wilbert Fowler in White Township. In Baltimore three teenage defendants Tyone John Stokely 17 Edward Butler and Richard Briscoe 15 were sentenced to life imprisonment for first degree murder in the holdup slaying of grocer Louis Pristoop on Christmas Eve. Judges Mundy Cullen and Cornelius reported the teens’ ages and mental status as the key factors.
Sen Estes Kefauver seals a decisive Democratic victory in New Hampshire securing all eight convention votes amid a strong Kefauver showing. Nixon gains a surprise write-in total of 18 367 from 260 of 297 precincts without appearing on ballots or campaigning. Stevenson totals include 3 419 write-ins. Republican delegates favorable to Eisenhower win 14 seats. Nixon’s write-in momentum signals rising interest in the VP race.

Harrisburg AP says Gov pen action reopened a large school construction program in Pennsylvania. The legislature approved a bipartisan reform raising the state aid ceiling from 425 to 625 million dollars, with a planned rise to 925 million by 1958-59 and an estimated 100 million every two years in state costs. The current two year period costs about 25 million.
A 25 year old Indiana man, Arthur Stumbaugh of 515 Water Street, is in Indiana County jail awaiting a hearing on larceny charges for stealing money from pocketbooks at the Christian Church at Water and Fifth Streets. He was arrested on a borough street by Patrolman Charles McAdoo about 90 minutes after a search began, after a witness identified him in the church. He admitted taking money from some pocketbooks but not all. The exact total stolen was not determined.
President Eisenhower said he would be happy to share Vice President Nixon on any political ticket. He asserted no wedge between himself and Nixon would succeed and emphasized their close relationship and Nixon as a trusted associate. He again praised Nixon while stopping short of a formal running mate endorsement.
Washington Senator George D Ga said he knows of no move to add a personal income tax cut to the House passed bill extending present corporate and excise rates. He warned against tying up the extension and emphasized the need for quick action to avoid revenue losses. He hoped a tax cut could be proposed after reviewing April 5 collections.

The all weather interceptor will join Continental Air Defense Command bases and carries Sai ton raiding fin rockets with wing mounted launch pads. Missiles have greater effective range than rockets and cannons and can seek targets after release.

She signed a statement detailing poisonings including her husband former stepson and mother in law with insurance payouts cited.
