Five youths were convicted in Reading of murder in a holdup slaying of George Miller a 66 year old gasoline station attendant. Henry Kapetski and Marion Nepelski both 18. Fred Gensemer 20 of Reading and Donald Babbit 17 of Reading were found guilty of first degree murder. Paul Quigg 17 and another suspect were convicted of second degree murder. Two jurors reported threats amid the trial. Kapetski was nabbed in Florida last December after tracing the car used in the crime.

A skull fracture from a rock fatal to Edward Davis aged 28 of Derry. County Detectives Paul L. Freightner and John P. Kilgore arrested Jacob Schall of Latrobe and charged him with murder.
