Former Blairsville resident dies in Pittsburgh crash
Clifton L. Beatty twenty four, of Pittsburgh and an employee of the Sun Telegraph, rode in a sidecar when a motorcycle hit a parked car in Second Avenue. He suffered a skull fracture and internal injuries and died at Mercy hospital. Ripple, the other rider, was uninjured. Beatty’s body was moved to Ferguson Funeral Home in Blairsville. He was born March 1, 1908 in Conemaugh and had worked in Blairsville for the Pennsylvania Railroad. Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Ferguson Funeral Home in Blairsville, with Rev. Joseph C. Stuart officiating. Burial will be in Blairsville Cemetery.
