Stafford Miner Gives Up His Life for Friend in Glenside Mine No 6 disaster. Frank Richard Yaros died 20 minutes after rescue efforts began. John Karronto, age 48, died in Indiana Hospital at 7:35 p.m. Yaros, 27, worked with Frank Russell, 23, when rock fell. Russell and rescuers attempted aid. Karfonto arrived last and was crushed. Police reported several youths including Norman and Donald Kitty age 14 and 12 brothers of 619 South Seventh street and Valentine Rezzalla 12 of 850 Maple street were arrested in Gompers alley after a tip from Patrolman Oliver Barry. They were to appear in police court tonight with Sam Gallo about 14. Officers said the group had keys from Troub Furniture Co store and broke into Indiana Democrat building and rummaged behind Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal Co building. Patrolman Barry caught them at the rear of Indiana Hardware Co store. Two bicycles were stolen in a separate charge involving a “Foreign” suspect. Blaine Miller 39 and Howard Miller 15 of New York were detained by Indiana police per their father C W Miller’s instructions.
