Police held justice of the peace B F Swartswelder of Seward Cambria county and Frank Opiela of Curtisville in default of 10000 bail for a Philadelphia estate fraud scheme. Swartswelder allegedly told victims Revolutionary War Swartewelders leased the Baker Estate for 99 years and would net nearly a million dollars for each 1000 loan, with Opiela bringing in victims and aggregating about 10000 in suspected takings. Authorities continue investigating possible additional guides.
