Six Men Die as Wall Collapses at Pittsburgh Plant
A fire at M. Janz and Son nut and belt plant on Carson Street in Pittsburgh collapsed a three story wall. Eighteen workers were trapped. at least five were killed, eight rescued, and the rest injured. Thirty seconds later the debris were cleared as crews searched for missing workers. The plant suffered about fifty thousand dollars in damage.
