Earle plans two year limit on emergency taxes
Harrisburg March 9. Two year limit to the three nuisance taxes in Gov. George H. Earle’s revenue program would be written into the bills. The plan would cap the two cent gasoline tax and amusements and tobacco levies for two years as emergency taxes. House Ways and Means Committee aims to insert the limitation before floor action next week to speed final passage. The budget provides 15 million dollars for relief for March through May, with new taxes the sole method cited to raise funds.

Mansion on a larceny charge for a combination laundry tub and sink stolen from a wrecked truck on the William Penn Highway. Bond set at 5000. he jailed after a preliminary hearing before Justice T.
