James H Maize a Wilmar California youth was struck by a passing automobile on Garvey Avenue near Jackson Street sustaining a fractured skull and a badly bruised leg. The impact occurred just behind the youth causing a slide and the car halted after hitting him twice. Dr Feldkamp said the fracture was near the youth s back and he has remained conscious with a good chance of recovery.
