Mrs Mayme Brinkley of Rural Valley returned home after a three month stay with daughter in West Covina California. She attended the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena on New Year’s Day and visited former Rural Valley residents in California. The group also spent a weekend in Tucson Arizona with Mr Ferguson’s parents and called on H C Peters currently vacationing in Tucson.

This Is My Friend film showing at Community Center
On March 10 and March 12 at 11 00 a.m. a screening of This is My Friend will be held on the second floor of the Community Center Building in the Indiana County Board of Public Assistance office. Birthday Honoree Fetes Sixteenth With Club Savoy Dance
Shirley Stabile, daughter of Mr and Mrs Carl Stabile of Lucernemines, celebrated her sixteenth birthday on Thursday March 5 at a teen agers dance at Club Savoy Homer City Road. About 300 attended as Bobby Peak and his Imperials performed with Indiana Musicians Local 25 funding. This marks the Bobby Peak orchestra's last local engagement before a six month midwest tour.
