Plumber Leigh Dies of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
A 62 year old plumber known as Harve Leigh died from carbon monoxide poisoning in his garage yesterday morning around 7. W A McVicker, his father in law, found him unconscious about 15 minutes after Leigh entered to work on his car. His son Kenneth McViker attempted artificial respiration before he was moved to Memorial hospital where he died. Leigh had cleared snow from sidewalks near his home before entering rear garage with the engine running. a side door was open but the large doors were closed. Leigh had practiced plumbing on the South Side for 25 years.
