China withdraws troops from Vietnam after border clash

Iran resumes oil exports after three months and executions rise

Iran resumes crude exports from Kharg Island starting with World Ambassador carrying 110 000 tons of light crude and 140 000 tons of heavy crude for Mitsui Japan as Ayatollah Khomeini approves more executions of Shah era officials including four generals. Tehran also reports seven more officials killed by firing squad bringing total executions announced to 24.

Clarksburg Man Robert H. McConnell Jr. Dies in Route 286 Wreck

Robert H. McConnell Jr. 30 of Clarksburg RD 1 died in a late night one car crash near Route 286 1.5 miles west of Route 56. His overturned car was found in a small stream by a passing motorist at 5 45 p m Saturday. Coroner Thomas Streams ruled massive skull injuries. McConnell was a Merchant Marine captain with a storied career including ships USS Maryland and USS Baltimore. He raised Arabian horses at Pattisan Arabian Farms and was to train in Grenoble France before joining Energy Transportation Corp. He is survived by his mother three sisters and two brothers with funeral set at Ferguson Helm Blairsville. Donations to a memory scholarship urged.

Refrigerator Girl Found Dead In Lucernemines Home

Police investigate the Sunday death of 14 month old Elizabeth Ann Delancey in Lucernemines. Her brothers ages three and four were found with her in an unused refrigerator in the dining room around 1 07 PM. Elizabeth died at Indiana Hospital at 2 40 PM after efforts to revive failed. Parents Gordon and Cheryl Delancey were at home. autopsy planned to determine cause of death.
