Alibi Defense of Gun Woman in Slaying Case

In New Castle Pa on March 6, Trene Schroeder, labeled Pennsylvania's blonde gunwoman, faces charges of murder, manslaughter, felonious assault, highway robbery and battery with intent. Her lover W Glenn Dague is also indicted. Both await separate trials with extensive preparations and an impaneled jury pool.

Veteran Meyer Smith Returns Home After Believed Dead

LANCASTER Pa March 6 A World War veteran Meyer Smith 32 returns home to visit his parents after memorial services were held for him in error. A body buried with military honors as him had died February 14 in Erie County Penitentiary Hospital. He phoned home denying death and jail and his father hurried to Buffalo to fetch him.

Funeral Honors for U S W Joseph P Logan Attended by McHenry Pair

George T. McHenry and Mrs Anna M. McHenry attended funeral services for Senior Vice Commander Joseph P. Logan at DuBois yesterday. H W Fee and Mrs Dolly W Ayers were present as mourners, with full military honors accorded to the deceased.

Farewell Party For Mr. & Mrs. McNutt

About 80 friends and neighbors gathered at the John McNutt home to bid farewell as the McNutt family of Heshbon moved to Josephine on March 3. Attendees included extended Campbell and McNutt families, local townsfolk, and guests from Indiana and Clyde. Games and a midnight lunch marked the sendoff.

Crowther told a committee that prohibition has made the nation more prosperous citing a canvass of 87 industrial leaders, including E. J. Buffington and Josiah Keely, with higher income spenders driving liquor demand. Fire kills three escaping from burning building

Three victims fled down burning stairs to the street before outside walls collapsed. Neighbors awoke, aided by Dr. Todd Bowden who treated them at a nearby home before they were taken to Indiana Hospital in Robinson's ambulance. Officials suspect an overheated stove as the cause. one patient was reported responding to treatment this morning.

Bee Keepers School Friday at Court House

A one day bee keepers school will occur Friday at the Court House. Speaker J Anderson, Penn State bee extension specialist and president of the Pennsylvania Bee Keepers Association, will present with stereopticon slides and motion pictures. Anderson runs a Ridgway apiary and supported by his work, he funded his college with bees. Attendees may ask questions during morning ten to twelve and afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30.

Berlin March 6 Ins Acceptance of the Young plan by the Reichstag became likely as the Cabinet in a special session agreed to link the nationwide financial reform program with the reparations scheme.
