Pittsburgh teen escapes Carlyle jail in Brantlinger slaying case
Thomas A. Davis, 19, a Pittsburgh high school student, pried loose a drain pipe and escaped from the Carlyle county jail after allegedly confessing to the shooting of Pennsylvania State Highway Patrolman Herbert P. Brantlinger near Bridgeville. He is charged with assaulting Deputy Sheriff J. P. Donnewald and seeks extradition to Pittsburgh. A search involving the sheriff and state police followed the 7:30 a.m. escape when Davis fled through a hole in the wall formed by pried bars and bricks. Davis is about 66 inches tall, 125 pounds, wearing a dark blue shirt and gray tweed suit. The escape hinges on the four-foot drain pipe crowbar used to break the cell bars and window. Repentant youth held for murder in Franklin
In Franklin Pennsylvania on March 8 210 Russell A Graham 17 was ordered held for the April term on first degree murder charges. He is accused of stabbing his 63-year-old father Alonzo after objecting to a radio playing.
