In Forest Hills, a Wilkinsburg hardware salesman shot and killed his wife Leah D. Immel, 43, and wounded himself. Harry D. Immel, 47, a hospital patient, left a note blaming an affair. Richard Immel, 23, found them after leaving the home during a quarrel. Mrs. Immel, a former Indiana resident, had moved to Pittsburgh after six marriages and work in a printing plant.

Blairsville leads petitioners opposing the Pennsylvania Railroad bid to suspend the last two passenger trains between West Apollo in Armstrong County and Torrance in Westmoreland County on the Conemaugh division. Wardens Take Red Cross First Aid Course Here
Forty air raid wardens from Sector No 1 Indiana Borough studied Red Cross first aid last week at the Lutheran Church under Dr Wilbur Black. Chief Air Raid Warden Denny Marbach praised the effort and urged full twenty hour or longer training. About 40 wardens from Sector No 2 will begin training next week at the State Teachers College with George Miller and Robert Timmons assigned as instructors.
