Six Killed In Halifax Hotel Blaze
Halifax Nova Scotia March 2 At least six persons were believed killed in an early morning fire that swept the Queen Hotel and spread to adjoining buildings. Unofficial estimates posted tolls as high as 15. Firemen said guests in night clothes clung to window ledges and jumped to escape. About 117 people were believed to be in the hotel with fears many trapped. Firemen carried injured to hospital as flames raged and continued on page two.
