Deaths of John B Work a noted citizen dies at 72
John B Work a widely known citizen died at his daughter Mrs James M Nichol’s home in Georgeville on Saturday February 26 after general debility at age 72 years seven months and 26 days. He was born on the family farm later living near Smicksburg and worked as a carpenter and lumberman. He led singing schools in winter and joined the United Presbyterian church early, wife having died five years prior. Surviving are two daughters Mrs J M Nichol and Mrs W Black of Canonaburg. Funeral Monday was well attended with Rev W S Sturgeon officiating. Burial at nearby cemetery.
