Pittsburgh, June 29. With 100 feet of the Pittsburgh and West Virginia Railroad's new line laid, work advances on the 38 mile Cochran Mills to Connellsville extension. Traffic experts say the line will open a new industrial field in southwestern Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio and compete with existing eastern tunds. Frank E. Taplin, chairman, said bids could be received in ninety days after the Interstate Commerce Commission authorized construction. Directors approved the link in New York earlier this week.
