Woman waits 31 years for college degree in Indiana County
Mia Louise Knapp George of Chambersville Indiana County earned a bachelor of science in education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania after returning to college in 1965. She started as a freshman in February 1965 and completed the degree in three and a half years, teaching kindergarten at Plumville this fall. The mother of five children, all of whom have pursued higher education, she contrasts with many graduates by finishing late after a long family and work life.
