Fatal double duel between Sparta and Lando brothers
In Cliffords New Jersey on June 27 four men were shot after a quarrel between the Sparta brothers George and Clifardo and Carlo and John Lando. Carlo, 18, was fatally wounded at the first shot. The ensuing exchange left Dilt ardy Sparta wounded in the chest, hip, and hand. George Sparta escaped but reportedly jaw and hip were injured. Michael Ross was wounded in the shoulder.
