Truck Mishap Traps Driver Near Homer

A truck driven by Waddell hauling coal overturned three times after the driveshaft broke on Route 32035 two miles west of Homer City. Wad dell suffered rib and back injuries, was rescued from the cab by Clyde Lewis, and admitted to Indiana Hospital at 4:30 am. The vehicle was a total loss with damage estimated at 3500 dollars.

Five Miners Trapped In Hillside Near Steubenville

Five miners were trapped when a hillside slope mine at Powhatan No 2 in Fernwood collapsed about 14 miles southwest of Steubenville.
