Fire destroys large barn east of Clarksburg in lightning strike
A massive barn about 1% miles east of Clarksburg burned to the ground Saturday evening after a lightning strike at 6 p.m. Three hogs and a bull perished, and vast feed supplies were destroyed. The barn and animals were owned by Ward T. Rosensteel of Saltsburg. O A Lyons occupied the nearby farmhouse and was away at the time. Firefighters saved the house and a shed though a wheelless truck remained in the shed. Damages were described as heavy with uncertain estimates.

Mr and Mrs M L Rishell of Rochester Mills RD 2 were injured when their auto was hit by Wallace Hawk of Rochester Mills RD 2. Mr Rishell had a forehead laceration and facial contusions while Mrs Rishell had a left shoulder bruise. They were treated at Adrian Hospital Panguitanewney.
