Pennsylvania Bar Meeting Opens with Address by Hon. George Alter
The Thirtysfiral annual meeting of the Pennsylvania Bar Association opened at Bedford Sprites with President George Alter of Pittsburgh delivering a lengthy speech on Pennsylvania legislation and the drive to curb excessive statute making. He compared state and English law volumes, reviewed 1926 measures, and urged reform while noting delays in enacting a criminal code and growth in legal aid for the poor across the U S and Europe.
