William Fulton home for summer from University of Michigan law department. Prof H C Stiteler and E Lewis close a Marion Center school term with about 60 in attendance. Marie Shields of Marion Center gives a public school music course.

Helen and Laura Steving hosted the Sewing Club on Oak Street renewing farewell gatherings for departing members, followed by a visit to Myers Little’s for refreshments. Gipsy will mark the Fourth of July with a basket picnic in the grove, organized by the P O S of A and the Gipsy Cornet Band to ensure a successful observance.

Lawrenceburg Indiana June 23 twin boys born to Mr and Mrs Grant T Peas are among the smallest in the region. The two boys Joseph Cannon and William Patt Peas weigh under three pounds each and cry softly in their bed. Doctors report their lungs and vitality developing slowly as the family waits for improvements. Nearby Bransville and Birmingham residents note similar local events including a wedding and a boy bound as an apprentice.
Havana June 23 The pumping out of water inside the coffer dam around the Maine has been suspended while other work continues. Engineers say they do not intend to pump out all at once and foresee no difficulties. Water will be lowered gradually as cylinders are trimmed by dumping in stone. The mud may be cleared within the next two months.
Hempstead L I June 23 Mrs Woodruff wife of Timothy L Woodruff former lieutenant governor of New York took a dare and flew with English aviator Thomas Sopwith in his biplane. They rode about fourteen minutes covering twelve miles over Garden City Mineola and nearby villages at altitudes of 300 to 500 feet with Mrs Woodruff expressing delight at the experience.
Cleveland June 23 Miss Con stance Mather daughter of Samuel Mather has left for labrador to engage in missionary work under Sir Wilfred and Lady Grenfell. She will teach domestic science to girls and conduct kindergarten work among Labrador children. Her father a Cleveland philanthropist, she abandons wealth for service.
