Walt Mason dies humorist and poet in La Jolla

Walt Mason 77 humorist and poet died early today at his La Jolla home after illness of several weeks. A native of Columbus Ohio he came to the United States in 1880 and began his newspaper career in St Louis. His verses were carried by about 200 newspapers across the United States and Canada.
