Blairsville murder case opens after jurors chosen
The Blairsville murder trial before Judge J Langham began yesterday after 42 jurors were challenged. Curtis Radford, colored, faces a charge of killing Oscar Davis on May 6 in Blairsville. District Attorney L E Miller and John L Getty for the Commonwealth, with James Mack and Elbie Creps for the defense, outlined the plan and evidence, including Radford’s alleged admission and Davis’s word that Radford shot him for nothing. Davis died after being treated at Indiana Hospital.
