Kane Youth Crime Spree Tied to Death Threats
An 18 year old Kane high school junior was held on charges of assault and battery and possessing firearms in a reported kidnapping attempt. Police say two men threatened to kill him unless he produced two women, Mrs. C. H. Tomes and Mrs. L. C. Pacquet, from Camp Meade Maryland. He allegedly lured them into woods under pretence of caring for a wounded deer, then brandished a revolver and bound them before releasing them when his nerve failed. The case is under investigation by local authorities.
