A large blaze at a Bradford gas plant drew hundreds of onlookers as firefighters from nearby towns battled flames. Two tank cars untouched by the fire were moved to safety under Laughlin’s direction while an Erie freight train was held up and later diverted after an hour delay.

Meadeville Pa June 18 Ron ated A Muay of Charleroi captain and quarterback of the Alegheny College football team died in a hospital after injuries from a motor vehicle accident Saturday near here. Edward B White another Alegheny student was cut and bruised as the car caught fire and crashed into a bridge abutment. Arthur F Ellis the driver was not hurt seriously. McKay was a member of Delta Pi Delta fraternity and son of I Edwin and Atrs Bell Jenks McKay.
Beaver Pennsylvania June 18 An old English law invoked by Judge Frank E B Reader jailed Julia Williams of New Brighton after she had been acquitted on liquor law charges. A good behavior bond of 2000 dollars was demanded but Williams could not furnish it and was committed to jail.
The Cookport Baptist Sunday School will hold Children’s Day services Sunday evening June 28 at 7:80. The program includes choir songs, scripture reading by Rev.
